About Waterside Farms Cottage Winery

Sunset

Waterside farms Cottage Winery came to be with the help of New Brunswick's Department of Agriculture. Ed Mantell, the owner, had been growing blueberries and wanted to use the blueberries to make a fruit wine. And has been doing so with great success!

Winning the "Savour Food & Wine" 2008 and 2009 Best Red Wine held in Moncton.

Also awarded "The Art of Success III" given out by ACOA. for success acheived through entrepreneurial vision and hard work, fueled by the power of collaborations.

Ed's family were wine producers in Europe before the Second World War. They immigrated to Canada in 1947 and resided in Kitchener, Ontario. Wine making was always a family event. Ed grew up making and learning from his father, the process of turning fruit into a wonderful wine.

Ed's wife, Linda, helps with the business end and sales of their wine from the on-site store. When you visit the store on Scenic Route915 in Waterside you will discover the art of making a fine fruit wine.

Come visit - 10 minutes from Fundy National Park, which offers hiking, camping, lots of local "Artisans" - from glass blowing to pottery.
